Solar for current needs plus future electrification, with EV charging that only charges from solar
Equipment Overview:
- 10.4 kW solar array with Q-Cell 400W solar panels and Enphase IQ8A Microinverters
- Enphase IQ EV Charger
Project Detail:
This solar system was designed specifically to cover not only the homeowner’s current usage, but all of the electrification plans in place for the home. The Enphase EV charger is set to only charge the EV from excess solar production, meaning it is 100% solar powered! Bidirectional charging will be installed later in 2024 as Enphase’s bidirectional charger comes on the market. Efficiency upgrades are also planned including new windows and glass doors, attic insulation, and attic ventalation. As the other electrification projects get completed, this will be the greenest and most efficient home in it’s neighborhood.
